KVKK Privacy Notice

This notice is provided under Article 10 of Turkish Law No. 6698 on the Protection of Personal Data (“KVKK”) to explain how personal data collected through the Bitez Digital website is processed. Information on cookies, measurement, the services we use and retention is in our Privacy Policy. In case of any discrepancy, the Turkish version prevails.

1. Data controller

Your personal data is processed by Bitez Digital as the data controller.

2. Personal data we process

  • Identity data: Your first and last name.
  • Contact data: Your email address and, if you share it, your phone number.
  • Request data: The service you are interested in, your website address and the message you send us.
  • Transaction security data: Records such as IP address, browser information and access time that are created automatically on our hosting provider's servers when you visit the site.

Please do not share special categories of personal data, such as health information, religious beliefs or ethnic origin, in the forms.

3. Purposes of processing

  • Responding to your quote and information requests, understanding your needs and preparing a quote,
  • Reviewing your free website review request and sending you the report,
  • Contacting you about your request,
  • Keeping our website secure and identifying technical issues.

Your personal data is collected electronically when you fill in the contact or free website review forms on our site; transaction security data is collected automatically when you visit the site. It is processed on the following legal bases under Article 5(2) of the KVKK:

  • Paragraph (c): Processing is necessary for the establishment or performance of a contract, provided it is directly related to it (reviewing your request and sending you a quote).
  • Paragraph (f): Processing is necessary for the legitimate interests of the data controller, provided it does not harm your fundamental rights and freedoms (following up on requests, reviewing free website review requests and keeping the site secure).

5. Transfers of personal data

Limited to the purposes above and only as far as necessary, your personal data is transferred to the service providers that host our website and deliver form submissions to us. As these providers' servers are located abroad, mainly in the United States, this is a cross-border transfer carried out in accordance with Article 9 of the KVKK.

Your personal data is not otherwise shared with third parties, sold or used for marketing. It may be disclosed to authorised public authorities where required by law.

6. Your rights under the KVKK

Under Article 11 of the KVKK, you have the right to apply to the data controller to:

  • learn whether your personal data is processed,
  • request information about the processing if it is,
  • learn the purpose of the processing and whether the data is used accordingly,
  • know the third parties in Turkey or abroad to whom your data is transferred,
  • request correction of incomplete or inaccurate data,
  • request deletion or destruction of your data under the conditions in Article 7,
  • request that corrections, deletions or destructions be notified to third parties who received your data,
  • object to a result against you arising exclusively from automated analysis of your data,
  • claim compensation for damages arising from unlawful processing of your data.

7. How to apply

You can send requests regarding these rights, in line with the Communiqué on the Procedures and Principles of Application to the Data Controller, in writing to the address above, or to kvkk@bitezdigital.com via registered electronic mail (KEP), a secure electronic signature, a mobile signature, or the email address you previously provided to us and that is registered in our system.

Your application should include your name and surname, your signature if it is in writing, your Turkish ID number (for foreign nationals, nationality and passport or ID number), your residential or business address for notifications, your email address and phone number if available, and the subject of your request.

Requests are concluded free of charge as soon as possible and within thirty days at the latest. If the action requires an additional cost, a fee may be charged according to the tariff set by the Personal Data Protection Board.

If your application is rejected, the response is insufficient or no response is given in time, you may file a complaint with the Personal Data Protection Board under Article 14 of the KVKK within thirty days of learning of the response, and in any case within sixty days of your application.
